Priya Banerjee is a canadian film actress and model, also appeared in Bollywood and South Indian films. She did her first telugu film in 2013, ‘Kiss’. She also played role in Bollywood film ‘2016 The End’.
She appeared in a short Hindi film, ‘Ijazat’ opposite popular TV actor Karanvir Bohra. The film is based on Sonia Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi’s love story and Priya to play as Sonia Gandhi in the film.
Personal Life – She was born on 16 April 1990 in Calgary, Canada. Her family hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. But Banerjee was born and brought up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Banerjee’s father is an engineer.
She was declared Miss Photogenic at the Miss World Canada in 2011. She has been a model and TV show host.
Career – She began her filmy career with Tamil and Telugu films. She did her first film Kiss in Telugu in 2013, opposite Adivi Sesh. She then did her first film in Tamil Ula as a lead in which Dwayne Bravo also performed an item number.
She also earned a nomination for the Best Telugu Female Debut Actress at the third South Indian International Movie Awards, but lost out to Avika Gor.
She also did ads with Varun Dhanwan and Parineeti Chopra for WeChat. Now she will be seen in short film ‘Ijazat’ opposite Karanvir Bohra.
