Vikram Bhatt will be directing the fourth installment and clarified rumors that the film is not based on the Sheena Bora murder case.
The third edition of this series ‘Murder 3’ was released on 15 February 2013 to mixed reviews. The film performed moderately well at the box office. The film had a dull opening of around 4.5 crore (US$670,000) and grossed 13.3 crore (US$2.0 million) in the first weekend.
The film ‘Murder’ had a first week of 19 crore (US$2.8 million) and it made 20.86 crore (US$3.1 million) in India in 10 days
