Kanika Kapoor is an Indian playback singer, was born on 23 March 1981 in Lucknow, Uttarpradesh, India. The track went on to become one of the biggest singles of 2012. Meet Bros Anjjan asked Kapoor to sing the song “Baby Doll” in Ragini MMS 2 (2014).
Personal Life:- Kanika Kapoor was born on 23 March 1981 in Lucknow, Uttarpradesh, India. She was born and brought up in a Khatri family in Lucknow. At the age of 12, she slated to syudy classical music under musician Ganesh Prasad Mishra from Varanasi.
During the time she did a stint with All India Radio and moved to Mumbai to work in the music industry. Kapoor married at the age of 18 and had three children, but the marriage later broke up.
Career:- In 2012, Kapoor released the music video “Jugni Ji”, featuring Dr. Zeus. The track went on to become one of the biggest singles of 2012. Meet Bros Anjjan asked Kapoor to sing the song “Baby Doll” in Ragini MMS 2 (2014). The song won Mirchi Music Awards for the “Number One Song of the Year” award. The song received Stardust Awards for Best female singer.
The same year she collaborated again with Dr. Zeus along with Vishal-Shekhar for the song “Lovely” in Happy New Year which was picturised on Deepika Padukone.
She collaborated again with Meet Bros Anjjan for the song “Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan” in Roy and was the playback singer for Sunny Leone in the song “Desi Look” in the movie Ek Paheli Leela.
She collaborated third time with Meet Bros Anjjan for the song “Nachan Farrate” for the movie All Is Well. She sang “Neendein Khul Jaati Hain” for the film Hate Story 3 collaborating fourth time with Meet Bros.
