Romantic Comedy film Happy Bhag Jayegi film released on this Friday 19 August 2016. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Anand L. Rai and Krishika Lulla. The film features Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Jimmy Shergill, Ali Fazal and Momal Sheikh in the lead roles.
While shooting for the film Raanjhanaa (2013), Abhay Deol was offered the lead role in the film, since it was not a “full-fledged role” in the former. In January 2015, reports suggested that Diana Penty will be starring opposite Deol in the film.
In July 2015, it was reported that Ali Fazal will play an important role in the film. In September 2015, it was revealed that Pakistani actress Momal Sheikh will be playing the second lead in the film.
The film certified PG by British censors on 15 August 2016. Approved run time: 126 min 23 sec.
