Emraan Hashmi is an Indian film actor, who appears mainly in language film, he made his acting debut with Bhatt’s Footpath Which emerged as a box office success. Before starting his career as an actor, Emraan had worked with Vishesh Films as an assistant director. These characters also earned him the “serial kisser” title. Hashmi has received three Filmfare Award nominations in his career. He married his long-time girlfriend Parveen Shahani in 2006 and became father to a son, Ayaan Hashmi, in 2010.

Personal Life :-

Emraan Hashmi was born into a Muslim family on 24 March 1979 to Anwar Hashmi and Mahira Hashmi. Anwar Hashmi was also an actor, and is the son of actress Purnima Das Verma. Emraan Hashmi is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. He is the cousin of director Mohit Suri, actress and director Pooja Bhatt and actor Rahul Bhatt. Hashmi studied at Sydenham College, Mumbai and University of Mumbai. Hashmi is married to Parveen Shahani, (a Hindu) in an Islamic wedding ceremony on December 2006 after six and a half years courtship and the couple has a son Ayaan Hashmi who was born in 3 February 2010. On January 15, 2014 Emraan’s four-year-old son Ayaan was diagnosed with first-stage cancer.

Career :-

Hashmi made his acting debut in 2003, with Vikram Bhatt’s thriller Footpath. He portrayed the role of Raghu Shrivastav, a gangster. The following year he featured in Anurag Basu’s erotic thriller Murder with Mallika Sherawat and Ashmit Patel. Emraan Hashmi is fantastic in a role that seems tailormade for him, Murder emerged as a financial success, with a domestic total of INR250 million, becoming the ninth-highest grossing film of the year in India.

His only film in 2008 was Kunal Deshmukh’s Jannat, a love story set against the backdrop of match fixing. Jannat is yet another turning point in his career. The film emerged as a commercial success in India. In 2013, Hashmi was first seen in Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s supernatural thriller Ek Thi Daayan, alongside Konkona Sen Sharma, Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin.

He has finished work on Karan Johar’s Ungli and is currently filming for Kunal Deshmukh’s Raja Natwarlal opposite Pakistani actress Humaima Malick. He has also been signed on for Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar’s romantic drama Badtameez Dil (alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan), Mohit Suri’s Hamari Adhuri Kahaani with Vidya Balan, Vikram Bhatt’s Mr. X opposite Amyra Dastur and Remo D’Souza’s tentatively titled Badtameez.
