On this Friday 14th April, actress Vidya Balan’s starrer action historical drama film ‘Begum Jaan’ is all set to release in theaters on this Friday 14th April. The film is directed by Nationa Film Award-winning director Srijit Mukherji and the film stars cast Vidya Balan, Gauhar Khan and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles.
The film is produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt. The trailer crossed 20 million views on Facebook and YouTube within a weeks time. And the film released on 14 April.
Vidya Balan plays the lead role of a brothel’s madam, set in the backdrop of late Indian Independence period of 1948. It is Hindi remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini (2015). Begum Jaan is loosely based on Shyam Benegal’s 1986 movie “Mandi”.byyy Sambit.
