Bal Thackeray Biopic ‘Saheb’ Release Date, Cast

Late famous Indian politician and best known as founder of Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray’s daughter in law, Smita Thackeray is all set to produce a Biopic on Bal Thackeray, which is titled “Saheb”.

“Saheb” is directed by Smita Thackeray’s son Rahul Thackeray who assisted Rajkumar Hirani in PK. The film’s schedule to release on 23 January 2017 in theaters.

Smita Thackeray has decided to come up with a Biopic which will go on floors by the end of this year. Rahul Thackeray is working on the script of the film.

The film will have other powerful characters with Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray being two of many other characters. Casting of these two political honchos will also be an interesting call for Rahul to make.

The film will release on Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary, 23 January 2017.

Bal Thackeray was called as ‘Balasaheb’ by his supporters. His followers called him the Hindu Hruday Samraat (“Emperor of Hindu Hearts”). Thackeray died on 17 November 2012 as a consequence of a cardiac arrest.
