Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is all set to hit the box office with epic adventure-romance film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ on this Friday 12th August 2016. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Sunita Gowariker and the film’s stars are Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde (Debut Film), Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh.
Even before its theatrical release to the public, Mohenjo Daro has been honoured by selection as the Closing Film of the 69th Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland, and will be screened at the Piazza Grande 13 August 2016 immediately before Locarno’s award ceremony.
The film about of Set amid the ancient Indus Valley civilization circa 2016 B.C.E, an indigo farmer from Amri, Sindh named Sarman (Hrithik Roshan) travels upriver to the largest city, Mohenjo-daro, where during a street mishap he saves the life of a beautiful woman named Chaani (Pooja Hegde) who as “The Chosen One” in service to Sindhu Ma, the goddess of the river which is the centre of their culture, is “the symbol of Mother Sindhu’s grace and blessing.”
But Sarman soon falls afoul of the politician Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his son Moonja (Arunoday Singh) who are seizing power and starting to rule Mohenjo Daro as an empire. To win Chaani, Sarman must defeat Maham and rouse the people to save their city.
Mohenjodaro vs Rustom – Much awaited upcoming epic drama film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is all set to clash with Akshay Kumar’s starrer real life story based film ‘Rustom’ on 12th August 2016.
According to the reports, both the films should be superhits. Rustom, the film based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K.M. While, Mohenjo Daro film is set in 2016 BC in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.
