Udit Narayan is one of the most popular singers of the Hindi film industry. He was born on 1 December 1955 in a small village Bharadah in Nepal. He is a playback singer whose songs have been featured mainly in Nepali and Hindi movies. He has won three National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. In 2001, Udit Narayan has not just made his mark in Bollywood, but has also sung many songs in other languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Oriya, etc. he has proved himself after much struggle in life. Udit Narayan has sung more than 15,000 songs in more than 30 different languages.
Personal Life : – Udit Narayan was born on 1 December 1955 in a small village Bharadah in Nepal. His father was Hare Krishna Jha and his mother was Bhuwaneshwari Devi. Udit Narayan Jha studied at P.B. School, Rajbiraj, Nepal where he passed his S.L.C. (class 10) and later obtained his intermediate from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, mostly known as RR campus Kathmandu. Now He resident of Mumbai. Udit Narayan began his career by singing Nepali, Maithili,Bhojpuri,Nepal Bhasa at first when he was in his native country, Nepal. He has sung folk songs for Radio Nepal in the early 1970s. In 1978, he moved to Mumbai on a music scholarship. In Bombay, he got trained in Indian classical music for six years at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He has married twice: to Ranjana Narayan Jha and Deepa Narayan Jha. His second wife, Deepa Narayan, whom he married in 1985, is a singer. They have son, Aditya Narayan, who is a former child actor, singer and television presenter.
Career :- Udit Narayan began his career by singing Nepali, Maithili, Nepal Bhasa, Bhojpuri. After his arrival to India he began singing Hindi songs; a contribution for Bollywood. He has sung folk songs for Radio Nepal in the early 1970s. In 1978, he moved to Mumbai on a music scholarship. In Bombay, he got trained in Indian classical music for six years at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He currently lives in Mumbai. In the year 1980, he got his break to sing in a Hindi film when music director Rajesh Roshan offered him to sing in the movie Unees Bees. Udit Narayan has sung more than 25,000 songs in more than 34 languages. At the same time, he sang in Nepalese movies and also acted in two Nepali films Kusume Rumal and Pirati in 1985. He has also worked in Nepalese films. Throughout the 1990s, he was one of the most successful singers in India. In 1995, his song “Mehndi Lagake Rakhna” from the movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
